VROOM Women in Tech and Mentors

Being a Vroom mentor increases your visibility and further develops your professional network. By volunteering their time and giving back to the start-up world, our mentors are able to establish new relationships that generate referrals, employment opportunities, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. While the Tech world is all about innovation and leading the world forward,  it is one of the worst sectors when it comes to female involvement.

Part of the problem is the lack of female role models inspiring other women to get involved as well the alienation created by the workplace culture.   Vroom wants to address these issues by uniting the pioneering women from traditionally male dominated industries.  Through our Vroom Caravan events which take place across Europe, we facilitate the initial introductions between female founders, investors and mentors.

Barbara has over 15 years of experience managing great brands – from small luxurious brands such as Silversea to huge companies such as MSC. She considers starting a start-up her most intense & challenging experience. Barbara is the proud CEO of Yonderbound, the world’s largest collection of bookable travel stories, which she co-founded in September 2012.

Jos has extensive international experience in Graphics, Mobile and SaaS. He started at Adobe Systems that enabled him to market PostScript printing software to a variety of OEM’s including Apple, HP, and Siemens.  He then took on leadership roles at Nortel Networks, Software.com, Openwave Systems & various mobile software start-ups.

He has extensive experience in raising money for start-ups and sits on the Board of Directors of several media and Telco businesses internationally.

He has held senior leadership Technical Sales & Sales Management roles at Compaq, HP and most recently at Intel as a Worldwide Sales Director for the energy Industry.

Doug is a Senior Executive with a track record of growing revenues in European Markets. He has worked both in large companies like EMC and VERITAS and innovative start-ups such as TINTRI and LeftHand Networks. He is experienced in working with Hardware and Software as well as running a successful Reseller Business.

Bryan is experienced at creating brand advocates for mass adoption of disruptive tech.Starting at a UK telco acquired by Vodafone, he created a mobile ISP, followed by an MNVO. At BT he introduced a SaaS to 1.5m users generating $400m per year. Recently he’s held leadership roles with Swisscom, Turkcel, and Vidyo, growing transformative technologies into the enterprise and consumer. 

Bryan Sharp

Frederic recently founded his own consulting services firm to enable technology companies to establish their EMEA/APAC footprint. He is currently Head of Europe Sales for Monnit, US-based manufacturer of monitoring solutions. Until September 2017, Frederic was VP Sales & Marketing Asia and EMEA at the Industrial IoT vendor, Digi International where he delivered impressive revenue growth in EMEA and Asia.

Johannes Ditterich is an entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in the eCommerce and technology space. He co-founded limango with two partners in 2007 and sold it later to ottogroup. As CEO Johannes grew limango to 129 Mio EUR annual revenues before he left in 2015. Previously he was working with Munich based VC firm Target Partners, investing into early stage tech companies.
