Create, Test, Try Again

Portugal is no doubt a country that is replete with talent and diversity. Significant public investments in areas such as education, infrastructure, and technology create an accommodating environment in Portugal for tech industry businesses.

Portugal’s vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem coupled with its low costs make it a perfect destination to create and test new businesses.

Global Community Is Taking Notice

Europe’s foremost internet technology event Web Summit will be taking place in Lisbon for at least the next three years.

Numerous organisations such as international startup accelerators Factory and Startupbootcamp are gearing for a big push into Lisbon. ImpactHUB is landing soon, and London-based Second Home is also launching in Lisbon in the winter.

Start-up Hubs

Portugal is fertile ground for European startups with large numbers of talented developers, engineers, and software product managers, as well as four major startup hubs in Braga, Porto, Coimbra, and Lisbon.

These hubs have produced notable startups like FarFetch, Talkdesk, Chic By Choice, Feedzai, Veniam and Muzzley, who have all scaled up and established offices in other countries. Portugal is buzzing with tech startup activity, with funding and exits sure to follow in coming years.
